Introduction
Paul Berry built the Territory Wallet app as a free service. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in relation to the Territory Wallet app and website (collectively, the "Service").

- Device Identifier (UUID) - temporarily collected for technical purposes only; we do not store, process, or use this data for any purpose

- Purpose: Sending push notifications and email communications
- Data Shared: Email address, name, and user ID (only what you provide)

3.2 OpenStreetMap Nominatim (Geocoding)
- Purpose: Converting addresses and coordinates for mapping features
- Data Shared: Addresses and coordinates you enter; anonymized queries

- Note: Nominatim is open-source; queries are not linked to your personal identity
3.3 Canada Open Data APIs
- Purpose: Accessing public Canadian geographic and administrative data
- Data Shared: No personal data; only territory mapping queries
- Note: These are government sources of public information
3.4 Google Play Services & Apple App Store
- Purpose: App distribution and in-app analytics
- Data Shared: App usage statistics, crash reports

4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Where Your Data is Stored
- User account data (name, email) is stored on our secure servers
- Data is processed and hosted in Canada where possible
- Backups are maintained for business continuity

- Secure authentication protocols
- Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel

- Your account data is retained as long as your account is active

6. Device UUID - Data We Do NOT Collect or Store
Important Clarification: While the app's SDK may access your device UUID, we explicitly do not:
- Store the UUID in our databases
- Use it to track you across devices
- Link it to your personal identity
- Share it with third parties
- Retain it after each session
The UUID is only temporarily accessible for technical validation and is immediately discarded.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information should contact us immediately at territorywallet@gmail.com.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically as our practices evolve or to comply with new regulations. We will:

- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top
